Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) is a non-pathologizing, humanistic-experiential approach that helps you understand and harness the power of your emotions. We can all get stuck in negative, self-defeating emotional patterns.
An EFIT therapist walks alongside you as you come to better understand, order, and regulate the frightening, alien or unacceptable emotions that might be keeping you stuck in those not-so-helpful patterns. The goal is to help increase your emotional balance and to create a greater felt-sense of wholeness that is stable and lasting.
"Clients move from chaos to order, reactivity to balance, from self-abnegation to self-acceptance, from helplessness to agency." ~ Dr. Sue Johnson, developer of EFIT & EFT

EMDR is evidence-based therapy to support individuals in processing traumatic experiences and memories with minimal exposure and re-traumatization. This method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process these memories. EMDR therapy doesn’t require talking in detail about a distressing issue. EMDR instead focuses on changing the emotions, thoughts or behaviors that result from a distressing experience (trauma). This allows your brain to resume a natural healing process.
